A bird chirped. Her head snapped in it's direction, staring in to the tree before she turned her attention back to the roof. She ran forwards and leaped, catching on the guttering and pulling herself up. The view from up here was amazing, the feeling of the wind in her face, the stars, the people. Speaking of people she then noticed a group of drunks wandering through the streets. One of them spotted her and threw a large rock. She moved to avoid it but was either too slow, or his aim was originally off target. The rock hit her in the head and she dropped from the roof even as they laughed.

The little girl sobbed, screamed and bawled her eyes out, head leant against her best friend. The trauma would probably affect her later to be the first one to find her. Her parents looked on in sadness, sad more for the little girl's unhappiness, rather than the loss of someone who'd lived with them for more than seven years.

Who knew though, that killing a cat, something so insignificant could matter so much to one person?
